It always feels like a privilege to see an actor performing. Watching them open themselves up within the difficult context of a film-set (or theatre) will never cease to blow me away. One of the joys of being a unit photographer is to bear witness to these moments. But that unique access comes with a responsibility: to be sensitive to the actors’ process and to honour their work by crafting the best images possible.
I’ve been lucky enough over the last few years to work with many talented actors, a few of which are considered acting royalty. One of these actors is Dame Judi Dench.
